Now, we will see the troubles for FriendFeed. The combination of FriendFeed is so similar with Google Reader, FriendFeed filled the market space for following the social websites, but it is still a old product, a kind of Reader.

What’s new for Google Reader in the future:

This will be a feature that can replace FriendFeed, if the users can use this feature seamless at Google Reader, why need FriendFeed.

So, it is time for FriendFeed to do RSS reader to protect its market. Also, let’s see the changes for Google Reader.

Mostly, no change.

So I begin to find an easy way to catch the target of Y Combinator.

1.Design

The first should be design, tell the truth, my designs is not so good, many times I hated my designs, so the best way is to place a plateform, in this platform, the designers can design freely.

So I selected wordpress, it is not only platform for blog, also can be themed to be BBS, Miniblog, SNS, ect, including Search Engine. In fact, I have tried a Search Engine looking theme last year, so this work is not so hard.

2.Engine

Without engine, this wordpress theme is only just a theme, it can not make a wordpress to be real search engine. We need a engine, a motor, to give the boy a strong heart.

Yahoo BOSS API, exactly the our wanting.

So, the themed search engine is born, I call it zuosa, cause I working in a company named zuosa Inc.

It is just the begining, I wish all the designers that designed wordpress theme, pause your recent work, and to cost several hours to design your themed search engine.

1.Sync to miniblog

I use zuosa to sync all searches at this themed search engine. And, I offered two widgets for display the recent searching and the recent comments for the searching, you can embed the widget into any pages.

2.Archived search results

I archived the search results into posts, this can prevent the hosting suspended, read from outside really cost CPUs. Infact, if host on Yahoo Cloud calculate, no need to archive.

logo.psd is the Google Orignial logo file, you can modify your logo at Photoshop.

QLRG.TTF is famous typeface as the Google typeface, it is not free. According to china law, you can use it as research usage to test, but after finished testing, you must buy it from Adobe company. Or you can remove it. If the font get you hurt, expelled, arrested, or possibly eported, don’t sue me.

nav_logo.png is the file both for the small logo of search result pages and explorer menu at bottome for multi page.

Please notice the top small Google Logo. Red “o” is for the current search result page. Yellow “o” is for others. Please do not change the positions of these two fonts. Or, you must modify the CSS file.

Google really clever, use only file both for Logo and Explorer Menu. This also maybe protect by Copyright Laws. If get you hurt, expelled, arrested, or possibly eported, don’t sue me.

Just did a small design details for Gmail.

1. Define the signature in the setting accounts dashboard.

Google IME born as a Chinese Input Method Editor, and we can use it input other languages like English:

I guess the dictionary for Google Suggest from the search keywords, not from search index. The workable dictionary should from Google search index database.

This dictionary can supply more sentence, the context. These dictionary already finished, it is google’s search engine search result pages. Just should make the rule for display not on PageRank, should on ContentRank.

3.How Google Writer works?

a.When you input some words, the Google Writer will give your some sentence suggestions.

Then you can use number key to select the sentence, or just click. Also can define shortcut to select, e.g. Ctrl+number.

b.Fast input.

For most sentence, you should not input the whole words. Sometimes just need to input the first one or tow letters of the words. For example, input “d y h m” to input “do you hear me when i say” , sure you can also input “d yo he m”.

c.Input shorter sentence

If this, how to select shorter sentence? We can input”d y k”, then input double space. Then the suggestion window will become to be:
